A Stepping Stone Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. began in May of 1990, as some would call a “Mom & Pop” AC repair in Florida, owned and operated by husband and wife team, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stone. In later years, their three sons became very active in the Florida air conditioning company along with other various family members. A Stepping Stone is one of the largest air conditioning and heating, service and installation, companies in the Tampa Bay Area. A Stepping Stone holds a State of Florida mechanical contractor’s License. We are also registered with the Department of Professional Regulations and The Better Business Bureau. Our company has installed and serviced more than 37,000 HVAC systems in new construction, residential, as well as commercial since 1990. Some of the commercial work we have been involved in are companies such as Waffle House and Lazy Days R.V. Center as well as several state and federal government buildings. With over 40 loyal employees Mr. & Mrs. Stone have born a thriving business, that is not going anywhere. Sam Stone, with over 30 years experience, was much more than a business owner he was a trained and experienced service technician. Before opening his own company Sam worked as a lead service technician for other major A/C companies in the Tampa Bay area. Sam has passed on his knowledge to most importantly, his children as well as, his employees. Mr. & Mrs. Stone have also groomed their sons for many years to take their places one day to run A Stepping Stone. Due to illness in the family that day came sooner than originally planned. However, the children were ready when that day came. And, for several years now they have been in the driver seat without missing a beat! The Stone Children wholeheartedly believe in Sam’s dream & they are going to continue for A Stepping Stone to thrive & as he has said, “I want my grandchildren to install & service your grandchildren’s HVAC equipment”.
